“As a therapist I try to create a friendly and supportive environment for my clients while being professional and goal-oriented at the same time. I like to take the time to listen to the details of the experiences described in our sessions in order to identify what is important for each person and utilize it to shape the treatment and provide feedback. By working with such a diverse population and age range, I have learned to tailor each treatment for that particular person. In spite of having learned about many different modalities, I was exposed to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy early in my training. I had the opportunity to attend a couple of national conferences that increased my interest in practicing this modality. I have also been trained in expressive techniques and EMDR. My main goal as a therapist is to create a strong connection with my clients, I enjoy listening to every person’s story, and I like to use a lot of examples to describe the principles discussed in therapy. I strongly believe in telehealth services, I feel that I have been able to establish the therapeutic connection just as good as it would have been in person. In my life I try to be well-balanced by taking care of different aspects like family, exercise, work, and my hobby which is bowling. Yes, I am a bowler and a soccer mom, these activities have provided me with the opportunity to practice what I teach in my own life.”
